Don’t the mail-in ballots have to be there by 7:00 PM on election day? It should not take any longer to count than in-person ballots.

Whatever the deadline is, the Dems will find ways to circumvent it.

In the infamous WA gubernatorial election of Christine Gregoire, they “found” the additional ballots they needed in closets and in the trunk of an election official’s car. These discoveries occurred long after the supposed deadline, but all the Dems had to do was suggest (not prove!) that they’d been received in time before being “misplaced”.

The ace up their sleeve will always be to shriek that refusing to count these newly discovered or late-arriving ballots is a disenfranchisement of those voters and a threat to our democracy! And some soft-headed judge will agree.

I was a voter in Washington State at this time and followed this "Vote Counting" Steal the election as it happened.

It’s Gregoire by 130; is it over? Rossi says this wasn’t a clean election

It took three counts of nearly 3 million ballots, four lawsuits, seven weeks and discovery of a series of embarrassing mistakes in King County, but Democrat Christine Gregoire yesterday won the race for governor by 130 votes over Republican Dino Rossi.

The hand recount — the final count allowed by law — ended yesterday when King County tallied 566 disputed ballots. As Republicans feared, the final votes went heavily for Gregoire and added to the 10-vote lead she had held when the day began.

So see

Dino Rossi   won the first count of ballots

Dino Rosii  won the recount of those ballots

They found additional ballots left in voting machines, in an election official car in a box and suprise suprise surprise,  Christine Gregoire won by 130 votes in a hand count.  '3rd time is a charm', they say.  Also helps to find additional votes in previously uncounted ballots, now that you know how many extra votes you need to bring your candidate over the top to STEAL the ELECTION!!!

Don't let this happen again in November 3, 2020. Volunteer as a poll watcher,  be come a poll worker.  The people that count the vote, determine who wins.  Its mail in balloting in Oregon and Washington State, so the best is to fill out your ballot and then drive it to the ballot drop box location and place your ballot into the box.   Don't rely on the mail.   Don't wait till the last day to vote your ballot.

The group of ballots brought by Tebelius wasn’t counted because it was the voters’ responsibility to resolve signature mismatches before results were certified, Satterberg said. “There has to be a deadline to make an election final. Otherwise it can go on for months and months.”

On June 6, 2005, Chelan County Superior Court Judge John E. Bridges concludes the closest and most contested governor's race in state history by rejecting numerous Republican challenges and upholding the narrow victory of Democratic Governor Christine Gregoire (b. 1947) over former State Senator Dino Rossi (b. 1959). Gregoire holds office based on the first hand recount of a statewide election in state history which, in another first, reversed the lead Rossi held in earlier counts.  Following a two-week trial, Judge Bridges rules that at least 1,678 ballots were cast illegally, but that Republicans have not proved that Gregoire's victory margin was based on illegal votes or that fraud played a role in the result.  Within hours of the sweeping ruling, Rossi announces that he will not appeal, surprising observers and ending the contest.

The 2004 Washington gubernatorial election on November 2, 2004 gained national attention for its legal twists and extremely close finish. In what was notable for being among the closest political races in United States election history, Republican Dino Rossi was declared the winner in the initial automated count and again in the subsequent automated recount. It was not until after the third count, a second recount done by hand, that Christine Gregoire, a Democrat, took the lead by a margin of 129 votes.
